Is the first check really free?
Yes. Every device gets one full check with no sign-up and no card. To keep abuse in check we also limit how many free checks one network can run per day.
How does the access code work?
There are no accounts. After you pay, you get an access code (also in your receipt email). Enter it on any device, up to three, to use your checks and open your saved reports.
Does anything renew automatically?
No. Every plan is a one-time payment. A plan simply ends when you use all its checks or its time runs out.
What if the report is wrong or fails?
If a report fails to generate you can try again right away. If you are unhappy with a purchase, see the refund policy or email support@usedcarvet.com.
Is this the same as a Carfax report?
No. We do not show accidents, title brands or service records. We tell you what the listing, the price and the official recall data say, and what to verify. Read what we do and don't do, and still get a history report and a mechanic's inspection before paying.
Which listings can I check?
Any car with a VIN or a pasted listing: dealer sites, Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, OfferUp and more. You paste the text or a screenshot. We do not scrape those sites.
